As part of the PGA Tour’s commitment to give back to local communities, TPC Scottsdale “Home of the PGA Tour’s FBR Open” will host the 22st Annual Area Wide Junior Golf Clinic sponsored by PGA Tour Charities Inc.
On Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., more than 400 local youths are expected to participate in this award-winning junior golf program, which encompasses learning the game of golf and the positive ideals it teaches.
TPC Scottsdale Director of Sales & Marketing Tiffany Nelson will serve as emcee for the day, which will include an exhibition by The Outback Golf Show, staring trick shot artist Craig Hocknull. Please refer to his website, www.theoutbackgolfshow.com to learn more about this amazing show.
In addition to The Outback Golf Show we will have an appearance by a surprise PGA Tour professional, the participation of special guests from The First Tee of Phoenix, and hands-on golf instruction offered by PGA Golf Professionals from the Southwest Section at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course practice facility. We would like to express that this is not only an exciting day but also opportunity for juniors who may just be getting into golf.

7:30 a.m. Registration and PGA Tour player appearance
8:00 a.m. The Outback Golf Show
9:15 a.m. Golf instructional clinic
Valley youths ages 4 to 17 are invited to participate in this special
event, which is being presented by PGA Tour Charities, Inc. in
collaboration with The First Tee of Phoenix. The First Tee is an
initiative of the World Golf Foundation aimed at impacting the lives of
young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs
that promote character development and life-enhancing values through
golf. Since its inception, the Area Wide Junior Golf Clinic has
attracted more than 5,000 local youths.
