Longbow Golf Club honored by Golfweek Magazine as one of the Top 25 Public-Access Golf Courses in AZ

For the second time in recent years, Longbow Golf Club, made Golfweek magazine’s list of the top 25 public-access golf courses in Arizona (public-access includes resort and daily-fee courses). Moving up four places from last year, Longbow ranked No. 16, ahead of notable clubs such as La Paloma CC, Grayhawk (Talon), and Ventana Canyon (Canyon) to name a few. The list was topped by another OB Sports facility, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club (Saguaro), followed by Troon North Monument and We-Ko-Pa (Cholla), respectively. This state-by-state ranking comes on the heels of Longbow’s inclusion to Golfweek’s list of the Top 100 Resort Courses You Can Play in the Country, 2009.

The team of Golfweek panelists evaluated the golf courses in terms of 10 criteria: Routing; Integrity of Design; Quality of Shaping; Overall Land Plan; Greens and Surrounds; Variety and Memorability of par 3s; Variety and Memorability of par 4s; Variety and Memorability of par 5s; Tree and Landscape Management; Conditioning and the “Walk in the Park” test.
