Visit website Desert Canyon Golf Club is a challenging yet playable golf course. Named Fountain Hills' "Best Public Golf Course" in 2005 and 2006 by Market Surveys of America, Desert Canyon winds its way through wonderful desert terrain up and down the natural arroyos and canyons that occur in the Sonoran Desert. You'll find tremendous variety in the layout as well: Five holes are doglegs to the right; four holes are "left benders."
Two par-3s are blind uphill approach shots while another, the signature seventh hole, is a dramatic downhiller skirted by bunkers. Players will not want to miss our tribute to the great Scottish courses, so peek into the depths of the front left trap on number eight.
The finishing hole, at 397 yards, provides a stern test for all. Playing uphill and into the prevailing wind, making four at eighteen is always something to brag about. With dramatic panoramic views of spectacular Red Mountain, the Four Peaks and the tallest fountain in the world, Desert Canyon is truly a unique golf experience.
